EF 500 exhibits a very dark green color. This synthetic variety is comprised of elite fall dormancy 5 plants selected for high forage yield, superior quality, and excellent winter hardiness. EF 500 is adapted to many areas where 3, 4, and 5 dormancies have been planted due to its winterhardiness. EF 500 fits traditional 4-cut systems but can handle more aggressive cutting systems for producers looking for the highest yields and forage quality. Medium early maturity to 10% bloom. Fast recovery after harvest.
