Ranahan is an ideal choice for beef and dairy cattle providing season long production. The higher intake and more digestible fiber of tetraploid ryegrass can mean greater animal performance. Ranahan, with its erect growth, is suitable for green chop, baleage, silage or hay. Late maturity or delayed heading allows for extended grazing for a greater harvest window. The more open sward of a tetraploid ryegrass allows for more diversity of plant species which contribute to soil health, nitrogen fixation, and rumen fill.
